（中央社洛杉磯14日綜合外電報導）美國喜劇泰斗羅賓威廉斯遺孀今天說，先生深受憂鬱症所苦，也出現巴金森氏症早期症狀，但還沒準備好向外界公開自己的病症。
帶給無數人歡笑的羅賓威廉斯（Robin Williams）11日以皮帶在加州自宅上吊，享壽63歲。許多人猜測，壓垮羅賓威廉斯的是長年的酗酒和藥物成癮問題。
不過，施奈德（Susan Schneider）發表聲明說，羅賓威廉斯最近的問題在於精神狀態和神經退化性疾病巴金森氏症。
施奈德說：「我們希望羅賓威廉斯辭世後，其他受各種病魔所苦的人，能夠有勇氣尋求照護和支援，治療疾病，也不再那麼害怕。」
她說：「羅賓威廉斯花了許多時間幫助他人。不管是在舞台、電影或電視，為前線戰士勞軍或安撫病童，羅賓都希望我們歡笑和不再那麼恐懼。」
施奈德說：「自從他過世以來，數百萬曾受羅賓撫慰的人流露出對他的喜愛與欽佩，讓深愛羅賓的我們所有人感到些許慰藉。」
她說：「他遺留下來的，除了3個孩子之外，就是他帶給其他人的歡樂和快樂，特別是為個人問題奮戰的那群人。」
美國國家巴金森病基金會（National ParkinsonFoundation）在施奈德發表聲明後指出：「檢查出任何重大疾病都可能讓人難以承受，而巴金森氏症和憂鬱症兩者密切相關。」
基金會說：「巴金森氏症會造成行動困難，而憂鬱症對生活品質的影響更甚。」基金會也說，超過一半的巴金森患者也歷經臨床憂鬱症。
